Steady Start for 2026

If you are a therapist who loves the work — but feels tired, uncertain, or quietly anxious about the business side of practice — this space is for you. Let me welcome you to the Steady Practitioner Project.

I’m offering is a gentle, grounded group for therapists who want a private practice that is:

  • ethically sound
  • financially sustainable
  • spacious enough to breathe

The Steady Practitioner Project is not about hustle, growth-at-all-costs, or becoming a brand.

You might be noticing:

  • your diary is either too full or not full enough
  • you second-guess fees, boundaries, or time off
  • you feel competent clinically, but alone with business decisions
  • you want steadiness — not endless striving

Welcome! This could be simply the right place to experiment with new ways of working. Tiny one-per-cent tweaks, guided by your values, can create a surprising amount of magic — helping you build your practice / business to feel better and more sustainable.

What this project offers

The Steady Practitioner Project is a fortnightly facilitated group where we attend to the foundations of a steady practice:

  • clarity about who your work serves best
  • thoughtful pathways of care (rather than endless open endedness)
  • simple admin systems and practices that reduce background stress
  • visibility that feels relational, not performative
  • boundaries that support your nervous system

How we work together

Sessions are offered fortnightly. You need to plan to attend at least monthly and start with a minimum of 4 sessions. Attendance every 2 weeks will be most useful.

Each session includes:

  • time to arrive and settle
  • a focused theme and gentle teaching
  • an option to bring a problem to solve
  • reflective inquiry and group conversation
  • one small, steady action to take away

You will not be asked to overhaul your practice.

We work with small, ethical adjustments that compound over time.

Who this group is for

  • Counsellors and psychotherapists in private practice
  • Clinicians who want enough clients, enough income, and enough energy

This group may not be right for you if you are seeking rapid scaling, aggressive marketing, or high-pressure accountability.
