Our Classic Workshop – Soothing Sessions

OUR CLASSIC WORKSHOP is the stress reducing, calming workshops combining trauma sensitive yoga, mindful movement, and distress regulation techniques.

You are invited to learn and practice new stress management tools.

We shall explore and experience fresh ways to soothe and calm your mind, body and the way you view the world around you.

Soothing Sessions are aimed at developing self compassion, this is a positive and soothing way to deal with past traumas, sadness and the stresses of everyday life.

Motivate yourself with kindness rather than criticism. “Where your attention goes to, and what your mind dwells on, will affect your emotions and body states”. Paul Gilbert

Creative approaches to anxiety management are presented along with easy mindful activities that leave you feeling peaceful & some inner calm restored.

Emotion is a huge topic during the workshops you will do some mapping of your emotions, its fun and interesting and non-intrusive.

“We often resist what we most need.” Julia Cameron writes in her wonderful book called The Artist’s Way. I’ll share what I am learning and introduce ephemeral art experiments.

Facilitated by Jane Macnaught an experienced group and individual counsellor. Jane has been working with groups of distressed and vulnerable people for some years – refugees and asylum seekers across Australia and in offshore detention centres have benefited from her calm approach that ensures everyone feels safe, listened to, and the group dynamic respected.

We will create a safe place together; it’s relaxed, friendly, fun and interesting.

You are welcome to bring a friend and/or partner, however no children at these sessions please.
